Determine your BMI
Finding out your BMI may be a place to start when considering Saxenda®. Keep in mind that your BMI number is not the only qualifier for a Saxenda® prescription, and your health care professional will assess other factors. BMI is a measurement that helps health care professionals determine whether a person is carrying excess weight in relation to his or her height. The standard categories of BMI ranges are:
- Below 18.5 = underweight
- 18.5 to 24.9 = healthy weight
- 25.0 to 29.9 = overweight
- 30.0 or above = obese
Did you know that 70% of adults with obesity (BMI ≥30) go undiagnosed and are less likely to receive valuable advice and support from a health care professional? Use this BMI calculator and share the results with your health care professional.
