Saxenda® dosing schedule

Use Saxenda® exactly as prescribed by your health care professional. After you start Saxenda®, provided you have no issues with tolerating it, your dose should be increased weekly until you reach the 3-mg dose. After that, do not change your dose unless your health care professional tells you to. If you have any questions, call your health care professional.

Nausea is the most common side effect when first starting Saxenda®, but decreases over time in most people as their body gets used to the medicine. For additional side effects, please refer to the Medication Guide.

If you miss your daily dose of Saxenda®, use Saxenda® as soon as you remember. Then, take your next daily dose as usual on the following day. Do not take an extra dose of Saxenda® or increase your dose on the following day to make up for your missed dose. If you miss your dose of Saxenda® for 3 days or more, call your health care professional to talk about how to restart your treatment.
